Sponsors Needed to help End Hunger
Local businesses, architects, engineers, and students from around the Madison area are needed to build structures comprised of cans and packaged food in the 4th annual Canstruction® Madison, a community competition to end hunger. Following a year where MOM distributed unprecedented amount of food to people in need, MOM will go for the Gold in the Olympic feat to end hunger in the community.
However, the structures are more than just a fun team building exercise. “Each can is food for a family and another step towards ending hunger in our community. Every can is an act of kindness that makes a real difference in someone’s life,” says Al Ripp, MOM Executive Director.
The free community event following the building of the structures will take place on Thursday, May 1st at KEVA Sports Center in Middleton and will be great fun for the whole family. Besides viewing and voting for favorite structures, there will be food concessions and children’s activities. The site is sponsored by KEVA Sports Center.
